Meet The Millers

Hello and welcome to my Blog! My name is Christina (Chrissy for short) and I’m starting a blog about being a twin mom. This is something I have thought about doing ever since the girls were born, but honestly it has been very hard to find the time! I’ve been so immersed in all things motherhood and twins that I thought I’d share some of the things I’ve learned along the way. But first I think a little background information on my family and I are in order.

My husband Jesse and I are both from very small towns in Maine and we really enjoy living in this beautiful state! We met in college while studying physical therapy and graduated together in May 2014, got engaged in February 2016, married in January 2017, pregnant with twins in July 2017 and the girls were born in March 2018; things definitely moved fast! We have identical (mono-di) twin girls, Charlotte and Isabelle and a daughter Ella (my stepdaughter). Ella stays with us during her school vacations, summer vacation and some weekends during the school year; otherwise she lives with her mom in New Hampshire.

I never imagined I would be a stay at home mom, not that it wasn’t of interest to me, but it didn’t really seem financially feasible. The plan was always for me to go back to work after having a baby, however we found out we were having twins and all of our plans went out the window! There was just no way to justify the cost of commuting to work 45 minutes each way with the girls in tow, double daycare costs and limited family time. We ended up making a few extra sacrifices to allow me to stay home with the babies and never looked back!

After all of that, here I am, momming all day everyday and I love it! I am so happy that life took this turn and I am able to stay home with all of my kids. Being a stay at home mom is hard work and there are new challenges everyday, but I cherish each moment because I know it won’t last long. We are making memories that will last a lifetime.
